I have lots of fond memories of Liz. Probably the earliest is of my sister Rachel, Sarah, Mary, myself and Liz squeezing into her little green Fiat car to go to and from swimming lessons in Bletchley. Another favourite is when I cut Mary's hair. I thought I had done such a wonderful job, however Liz didn't agree!! I can't understand why! I remember Mary and I would always get ourselves into lots of situations, including running away once. All the way from Townsend Close to Joa Stonors house, next to the Carpenters Arms. We were going to live in her garden. Neil and my Dad were in so much trouble, as they were meant to be looking after us, and didn't even notice we were missing for a while! The Lavenders house was a home from home when we were growing up, and I will always remember Liz with affection and someone who was always there for me. More recently with a glass of red wine and a ciggie, but ALWAYS a smile. Rest in Peace Liz, you were loved and will be missed. X Hannah and family. X
